Thread is proud to partner with AGS Civil, a family-owned civil company with a strong pipeline of work and a real focus on safety, quality, and looking after their people. We need someone to take ownership of the Greenbank, QLD workshop and keep the fleet ready to work.

What You'll Do

You’re responsible for the uptime and condition of the fleet. That means:

• Planning and performing servicing, maintenance and repairs on light vehicles, small plant and heavy civil equipment

• Setting daily priorities in the workshop and keeping jobs moving

• Running and improving preventative maintenance so breakdowns drop over time

• Completing checklists and quality checks so gear goes out safe and compliant

• Working with operations so machines are ready when crews need them

• Managing parts and consumables – ordering ahead to reduce downtime

• Rolling your sleeves up and jumping on the tools whenever required

• Doing what it takes: 50 hr weeks, OT and some weekends when the work is on

This Role Is For You If

• You like 50+ hour weeks and OT because you want a bigger pay packet

• You take pride in neat work, a tidy yard and machines that “just work”

• You can work independently, make decisions and own the outcome

• You communicate clearly with operators and site teams, even under pressure

What You Bring

• Trade qualified mechanic / fitter ( Applicants with strong mechanic knowledge will be considered)

• Solid workshop or field maintenance background

• Strong knowledge of diesel, hydraulics, diagnostics and civil gear

• Welding, basic fabrication, prep and painting skills

• HR licence / equipment tickets are a bonus

What You’ll Get

• $35–$40+ p/h, with higher rates for a qualified mech/fitter who can lead the workshop, plus OT
